SASKI Privacy Policy

The South Australian Skiing Association (SASKI) takes the privacy and security of its members? information seriously. SASKI has published this information protection guideline to ensure that its members are fully informed on what information SASKI holds and how it is used.

What information does SASKI hold and how is it obtained?

SASKI receives information directly from members or from its affiliated organisations. The amount of information held will vary according to membership status and type. The SASKI Committee has prescribed some compulsory membership details. This information is required for the association to meet its fiducial and corporate governance responsibilities.

For what purpose will SASKI use member information?

- To provide members with necessary communications (e.g.: AGM notices).

- To administer memberships (e.g.: invoicing).

- To provide membership benefits

- To provide members with details of relevant events, publications, etc.

- To administer membership conduct issues.

Members will always be given the option of advising SASKI that they do not want SASKI or a third party such as sponsors to use their information for any disclosed secondary purpose. Members will always be able to notify the SASKI Executive of their change of preference regarding this issue. SASKI will require any third party to protect member's information in the same manner as SASKI does.

SASKI will care for its member's information.

SASKI will undertake to place a level of security appropriate to the nature of the information. Information is held on a central membership register only.

No information will be held about any member that is excessive in relation to the purpose(s) for which it is used. It will also only be the very latest information provided by the member. Information will not be kept for any period longer than is necessary. SASKI will take all reasonable steps to ensure that member information is accurate, up to date and complete. Members are encouraged to contact the SASKI Executive to update any inaccurate or incomplete information.

All member information will be kept and administered in accordance with the relevant state and federal legislation.

Members will have the right to view the information that SASKI holds in its register concerning them.

The Executive Committee Members of SASKI are the only individuals permitted to make changes to the SASKI membership register
